Compose a Spell
The cunning folk did not only read what was coming. They were paid to change it. Name your outcome, choose your tools, claim your authority, and decide under which Power the spell is done.
To compose a spell above, follow the steps below.
1. THE INTENTION
State your intention
Say plainly, in your own words, what this spell is for. This will be kept with the spell itself.
2. THE WISH
Choose your outcome
Every spell begins with its ending. Choose the contentment you intend to bring about.
3. THE CRAFT
Choose the means by which it will be done
Choose up to three tools of the trade. The wish’s own suit is shown first, but a cunning hand borrows from anywhere. Hover a card to see what it is for.
4. THE FOLK
Choose in whose manner you will work
Choose the cunning man or woman whose way of working this calls for. They will lend their skill to it.
5. THE GIFT
Choose the authority you claim
Birth, spirit, craft or death. Name how the gift came to your hands.
6. THE POWER
Choose the power guides this spell
Choose the Man in Black or the Angel to stand over this spell. Their nature will shape how it falls.
7. THE SEALING
Seal the work
Check all is right, change what needs changing, and then seal the work so that none can stop it.
8. THE RECORDING
